Maintenance Development Program - Maintenance Specialist

Greenlee, an Emerson Company, is an industry leader in providing state-of-the-art technology for the electrical, power utility, industrial, and telecommunication markets. We're currently seeking dynamic individuals to enroll in our Machinist Development Program and join our Genoa, Illinois team.
Program Information
Individuals work a minimum of 24 hours per week (Most likely 2nd shift to accomodate course schedule)
Requires completion of 48 credit hours over the course of the 2-year certification
Classes and books are paid for by Greenlee Emerson
After successful completion of the program individuals earn a certification in Automated Industrial Technology (AIT) from Kishwaukee College.
Students can go on to earn an Industrial Electric certificate as well.

Starting wage $14.00 per hour - Current Greenlee Machinist's in Genoa earn up to $30.97 per hour
While working part time at Greenlee, individuals are given valuable hands-on training in the following areas:
Machine tool (CNC and manual) Maintenance
Hydraulic and Electrical Maintenance
Building Maintenance
Special Processes/Projects
During this time individuals:
Learn to diagnose and resolve issues with machining and assembly equipment
Collaborate with cross functional teams to support and maintain production of high quality products in a safe, efficient manner
Are given the knowledge/experience they need to become workplace ready
Repayment to Greenlee (in the event of voluntary termination or termination for cause):
If an employee who has received Educational Assistance from Greenlee leaves employment for voluntary reasons or is terminated for cause, the employee is responsible for reimbursing Greenlee the cost of the tuition dollars that have been paid within the prior 12 months of employment
Program Requirements
To be eligible for the program, individuals must:
Apply for admission online at www.kish.edu/apply and choose the Automated Industrial Tech Certificate 283
Determine placement in certain classes (by taking a placement test or being waved from the placement tests based on previous college coursework, SAT, ACT, AP, CLEP scores, or high school G.P.A. within 3 years)
Make an academic advising appointment
Register for classes
In order to stay in the program, individuals must:
Complete specific course and program graduation requirements as outlined in the Career/Occupational section of the AIT Certification curriculum.
Take a math placement test and attain a score that places them into MT-151 Machine Shop Mathematics I (if not, they must take Math 055 before taking MT-151)
Meet the College's academic residency requirement
Achieve an overall 2.00 GPA in all Kishwaukee College required and elective coursework applicable to the Certification program requirements
Resolve any incomplete grades in Kishwaukee College coursework applicable to the certificate
Apply for graduation in the Student Services office

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
